Summer 2018 @ LHRIC - Digital Literacies for Early Learners
/Designed a new summer workshop with colleague Jamie Haug focused on digital literacies for early learners. Our primary challenge, how to aid early childhood teachers with purposeful focus on key digital literacy development for K-2 students to: FIND, EVALUATE, CREATE, & COMMUNICATE.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Our youngest students already live, learn, work and play in a technology-infused world. With so many tools available to us today, it is now possible to look beyond just ‘this app’ or ‘that device’ and, instead, critically consider how to empower even our youngest students to grow and thrive as digital age learners.
This workshop will focus on developing the 4 Digital Literacy Skills for K-2 students to become fluent finders, evaluators, creators, and communicators using technology.
